SERVICES are delivered in the following way:

STYLE. My style is supportive and values oriented. By values, i am referring to your own sense of the right and wrong way for achieving what is important to you in life. I have forty years experience encouraging people to try out new skills as they seek a variety of paths for increasing a sense of fulfillment.

My experience in continuous education includes studies with gifted mentors in sculpture, pottery, publishing, Gestalt and Jungian psychology, Emotional Freedom Techniques, meditation, visualization, shamanic technique, cosmology, subtle energies, and writing.

CONVERSATION. Most of our work is done through a combination of discussion by phone or email and practices that you choose to apply on your own time in the course of daily life. 

CREATIVE EXPRESSION. I greatly value and support the practice of any art, craft, yoga-like physical exercise, meditative, or creative expression. I support, suggest, and help clients find forms of activity that suit their talents, needs, and inclinations.

EXERCISES. At appropriate times you will be asked to look up relevant information, learn specific exercises of observation, or experiment with your habits of behavior.

SELF-CARE. You need health in order to accomplish your goals. I am able to suggest resources that suit your personality for improving your eating, exercising, and finding alternative therapists to support your journey.

EFT. One technique that I find to be a powerful support in changing habits and working past fears and lack of confidence is called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). EFT is a way to affect how emotions are integrated in the energy system of your body. If you have lingering feelings from events of the past that interfere with progressing in your efforts to grow, EFT can help dissipate them. 

You are taught to tap your fingers on the body’s energy pathways while stating thoughts relevant to the emotional concern. However, I have also found that tapping while telling your story can dissipate the stuck feelings. It is also possible that creating the formal sentence structure without the tapping can also clear the emotions and allow new answers to come through.

I compare the results of EFT to many different techniques used to focus and increase one’s consciousness. EFT is similar to:

  • Meditation. Encouraging insight to arise from within the individual.
  • Acupuncture. Stimulating energy pathways called meridians in Chinese medicine. Although needles are not used, tapping on descriptions of past emotions gets ‘stuck’ energy moving.
  • Affirmations. While addressing the “yes, but” that sometimes comes up and interferes with belief. the techniques support choosing new feelings, an undertaking many people find daunting.
  • Prayer. Stating without judgment what the problem or disturbance is, prepares us to receive or discover answers.
  • Hypnosis. Using a rhythmic flow of words while repeated movements increase focus in a relaxed and accepting state, allowing new solutions to present themselves.
  • Kinesthetic learning. In the way physical movement supports focused attention to speed up acquiring skill.
  • Homeopathy. In that the client uses words similar to the lingering sting of an event in order to neutralize it.
